I'd like to give Jon a big thanks for setting up shop here on the forum and be willing to tell us a few things that has gone on or going on with the currents here in town. I talked to him earlier and he was having some trouble with charter's internet service, don't know if it is back up or not yet. Anyhoo, if you all have any questions, just ask. Remember, some things Jon can't discuss due to it being matters with the city thats under lock and key, but he is willing to give some ideas and take suggestions on things as well. Lets all take to this new section and make it work......ideas will be gladly looked at, pass them on here!

Glad to have you on RoRap Jon!
One of the biggest problems this town has faced so far has been rumors and sometimes outright lies. It'll be nice to be able to go right to the source without a highly biased mediator.

Let's see if Jon is his own man or if he's in Jim Garrett's pocket. I think a good politician should be able to make up his own mind.

After all, JG is just one vote.  Most of us here are voters and would like some clarification on the relationship between the two.  Honestly, I will absolutely NOT vote for anybody that is Jim's whipping boy.  I have been kinda appeased by what info Jon gave here, but if he runs scared because a self important ass called him an idiot, then obviously Jon doesn't have the spine to stand up to problems in local government, and doesn't deserve my vote.  If he does still come back here and interact, then more power to him for making his own mind up.

Yeah, Jon will answer any questions Cappy, he just does not want a special section, or any special high-lights, just do it in the news and politics section he said. It might take him some time to get back with an answer as he is on vacation currently.

I guess if someone like Jim can bully you Jon there's no telling what's going on in those closed sessions that the council has. Maybe you should consider letting someone else represent your district.

Why was the Theatre closed Jon? It doesn't look like that would be a condition of a new management taking over.

Do you support the lawsuit Jon?  I see Jim throwing around a lot of city council names that aren't supporting the lawsuit, but your name is always left out.  Does that mean you support it?

What if Jon Baker had his own forum on 27870? Would that be ok with Jim or does he think Jon should only answer Jim's questions and Jim feed everyone the info? You know, kind of like the closed session info that was leaking to Jim a few months ago.
