Hello All,

Retro Radio 95-Z is back on the internet after our relocation to the Triangle.  We are testing from a new studio at this time, so there will be occassional interuptions.  We should be back to a full schedule of internet programming by December 1st.  If you are new to the area...95-Z was an FM station that served the Roanoke Valley until late last year with 'Hot Retro Hits From The 80's and more'.  Now you can enjoy 95-Z on the web 24/7 at:

http://95zworldwide.listen2myradio.com/

So, whether you were a 95-Z fan...or love the hit music from the 80's (with some late 70's and early 90's)...please check it out.  Soon, the audio stream will be available on our website and on our myspace page.  I will keep you updated on our progress!

Hi All,

There are now two separate streams of 95-Z programming.  For slower speed compters, use the above stream, which is at 56 kbps (roughly FM quality).  For a higher-quality (128 kbps/about CD quality) stream, go to Shoutcast.com and search for "95Z" and click 'LISTEN IN' beside the 95-Z icon.

Thanks and enjoy!

Hello All:

We have been getting many listeners from the Roanoke Rapids area on our start-up internet stream.  Soon, we plan to have it on our website, but thanks to this discussion board, former FM listeners have been going to the audio stream address, 95zworldwide.listen2myradio.com.

Until our site is up, we are posting updates on the radio station on our myspace page at myspace.com/95zonline.  There, you can also find world and national news, sports scores, entertainment news, and 80's music videos.

We are forever thankful to the many listeners and corporate sponsors we had on our former FM channel.  If you enjoyed our FM station, and haven't checked us out on the internet, you may find us at 95zonline.listen2myradio.com.  You may also search "95Z" at shoutcast.com or "Retro Radio 95z" at streamfinder.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to All!

Just an update on 95-Z's internet service.  Our stream is now available at our website.  The address is 95zfm.com.  Thanks to everyone in the Roanoke Valley area for listening to Retro Radio 95-Z.  Special Thanks to Thomas and Liann Elliott of Elliott's Computers (535-0937).  Soon, the website will feature news, weather, sports, entertainment news, LOTS of 80's arcade games, trivia, and music videos.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays All,

It's hard to believe that it's been one year and a few days since Retro Radio 95Z signed off it's former FM frequency.  However, the hits of the 80's and more are still playing on-line at 95zfm.com.  Soon, we will also add a stream (which will simulcast the 'main' stream), which webcasts at 56kbps.  The 56kbps stream may perform better for listeners with a dail-up internet service.  The primary stream now webcasts at 128kbps, which is considered CD-quality. If the stream on the website buffers on your computer, try going to shoutcast.com and searching '95z'.  Simply, select the 56kbps stream.  Soon BOTH streams will be available at the website (95zfm.com).  So, you can still listen to 95-Z at work, at home, or anywhere you have an internet connection.  Thanks to all those in The Roanoke Valley, who are listening to The Z online.

Happy New Year!

Something special for New Year's Eve...
It's 'Club 80's With DJ Lex', featuring long, dance mixes of the biggest hits of the 80's.  The doors to Club 80's open at 8:00 PM.  DJ Lex will be mixing the hits of the 80's until 2am.

You can find us at 95zfm.com with our CD-Quality audio stream.  For slower internet connections, go to shoutcast.com, search 95z, and select the 56k stream.

Thank you for listening to Retro Radio 95Z Worldwide and Happy New Year to everyone in the Roanoke Valley!

Our thanks to the owner of this discussion board for allowing us to provide programming updates here.  We still have a strong concentration of listeners in The Roanoke Valley.  Our thanks to all our Roanoke Valley listeners!
